Eric Klein joined Vantera in 2009 with over twenty years of investment banking and professional experience.   Before becoming an investment banker, he pursued a more entrepreneurial path as a business manager and operator.

Since the early 1990's, he has founded, managed or operated privately-held companies in a variety of industries including information technology services, energy/utilities services, import/export (durable and non-durable goods, including seafood importation from the Philippines and Indonesia), manufacturing, distribution, apparel, general merchandise and wholesale liquidations. Prior to joining Vantera, he held a position with Alpha Industries, Inc. as Director of Operations, a Los Angeles-based manufacturing company. He has also advised Fortune 1000 corporations such as BCBG Max Azria and TRW.

Prior to joining Vantera, he was an investment banker with Hunter Wise Securities LLC, and WestPark Capital, Inc., both FINRA member broker-dealers headquartered in Irvine and Los Angeles respectively as well as several other boutique investment banks and corporate advisory firms.  During his tenure at these firms he had the opportunity to be involved in a variety of transactions involving corporate finance including both debt and equity placements; RTO’s (Reverse Take-Overs) for public and private companies; and M&A transactions for emerging growth and established middle-market privately-held companies in a variety of industries such as manufacturing, business services, medical devices, and eCommerce.  His activities also involved business development, origination, and due diligence.

He has a particular interest in information technology (including data centers and managed services providers) and cleantech/renewable energy and energy storage.  He actively maintains extensive domestic and international relationships with institutional and strategic investors in a variety of industries and transactions.

He holds a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Electronics Engineering/Manufacturing from ITT Technical Institute of Technology in Los Angeles. He has completed additional academic course work from UCLA in Business Management and Finance. He was a former member of the Los Angeles chapter of Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and the National Investment Banking Association (NIBA).

He has been involved in a variety of charitable organizations such as Make-A-Wish, The Los Angeles Food Bank, Los Angeles SOVA Food Pantry, Jewish Federation and other philanthropic activities.

  •  Information Systems Securities Association, Los Angeles Chapter (www.issala.org) Their mission is to be the premier catalyst and information source in the Los Angeles community for improving the practice of information security.
  • Cloud Security Alliance (https://chapters.cloudsecurityalliance.org/socal/). Their mission is to promote the use of best practices for providing security assurance within Cloud Computing, and provide education on the uses of Cloud Computing to help secure all other forms of computing.
