John Hanna brings over 30 years of experience in the footwear, handbags and leather goods fashion industry. John served as CEO and/or President of companies like: Donald J. Pliner Holdings and The House of Pliner (CEO), Private Collection & Co. (CEO) and Thomas Wylde (CEO). Previously, John served as CEO and President of Charles David and CEO of The House of Klein.
John also founded companies such as: The Fashion House (CEO & Founder), Bertie of London, a Licensee of Bertie of London England and First Billisimo, Inc. where he served as President and CEO.
Mr. Hanna took The Fashion House public where he acquired the licenses for iconic brands such as Richard Tyler, Oscar de la Renta, Isaac Mizrahi, Bill Blass, and Nicole Miller for domestic and global markets. During these years, John was #49 on Footwear News’ U.S. “POWER 100” prominent footwear executives in its annual list of industry leaders.
Mr. Hanna has obtained over $1.2 Billion in debt and equity financing to build and restructure various companies. He also enabled and directed four companies on Nasdaq and the New York stock markets, with collective market valuation over $2.0 Billion in market cap.
John started his career in Merchant Banking at the Bank of Montreal. He spent 5 years overseas at Gulf Bank in Kuwait where he was instrumental in taking the bank assets from $275 million to $1.5 billion. John holds a BA degree in Business Management from McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
